About Hot Rod Cafe

Hot Rod Cafe was started in 2005 by Rod Cornish, a native of New London, who returned from New York City after he left Merril Lynch to pursue more fun and satisfaction. He spent time in Europe and upon his return decided to stay in New London and open the kind of place that he would like to go to.

He went to local bartending and culinary schools and worked in several local establishments learning the business before opening Hot Rod Cafe. The business has grown each year specializing in wings and excellent customer service.

Recently, an opportunity arose to relocate out of the small space it occupied to a space just down the street 114 Bank Street complete with a water view deck, state of the art kitchen and private party facility. It was a perfect fit.
